The Atelier

Garments that remember who they were made for.

Lumi & Lace is a small couture house in Mississippi. We make no two pieces alike — every gown, suit, and dress is drafted to a single body, a single story, a single occasion.

The Designer

Meghan Kirkpatrick

I started sewing at twelve, on my grandmother's machine, in a small room in Flowood. Twenty years later, the same instinct for fabric, form, and fit drives every piece I make.

My training spans pattern drafting, couture tailoring, and bridal design. But the craft itself comes from something simpler: I believe how you dress is how you show up for your own life.

Every commission begins with a quiet conversation, not a sketchbook. I want to know who the garment is for before I know what it looks like.

What Guides Us

Four principles we refuse to negotiate on.

I

Listen First

Every piece begins with conversation. We learn the person before the silhouette.

II

Build to a Body

No standard sizing. Every pattern is drafted to your exact measurements.

III

Honor the Material

Natural fibers, slow construction, and finishes you can pass down.

IV

Done When It's Right

Up to four fittings included. We finish when you feel finished.
